A Pretty Girl

This is Gracie's favorite dress. It has a very full skirt with a built in crinoline, so she can spin around and hear the swish of her skirt. This is what she wore to church on Sunday. She asked, "Mommy, can I wear a crown?" I told her no, that tiaras may not be appropriate church attire. I did, however, find a necklace that I wore while a bridesmaid in my Aunt Suzanne's wedding when I was about seven years old. My paternal grandmother made it. Isn't it pretty? It made "me" feel like a princess, so I thought it would be an excellent substitute for a crown.
