Finished Christmas Shopping

Long, long day. Asthma is rearing it's ugly head. I almost had to pull over while driving but the meds finally kicked in and I was fine. I can't tell you what a horrible feeling it is not to be able to get a deep breath of air. I'm increasing my fluids and hoping that it will calm soon. I just really don't feel well. I'm very grateful for God's grace in getting through today...it was a very productive one.

Finished Christmas shopping. I feel like I overspent but I spent less than $200.00 for four children. That's actually a triumph! But the world always gnaws on me during this time of year.
To be honest, I can't wait till it's over. (At least the commercial/material aspect.)

My normal is to celebrate Christ's birth, death and resurrection every day by picking up my Cross and following Him. That's what I want...to be undistracted by the hustle and bustle that is unavoidable during this season.

Tomorrow we're treating our fellow homeschoolers to Christmas coffee and cookies during park day. I can't wait...it's my kind of celebration. R E L A X E D! After this the kids have a youth meeting Christmas party on Sunday. We go caroling at the nursing homes in two weeks, then I think we're free and clear until Christmas day.
