Last Thursday we had our End of the Year Homeschooling party at Honeymoon Island Beach. It was a great day! We were blessed to have a park ranger lead a discussion on sea turtles. The children had thoughtful questions and were very well behaved. The ranger gave copious compliments on the children's knowledge of the material presented, their intelligent questions and good manners. We were a bit disappointed that the presentation didn't include a beach walk, but frolicking in the water, after the ranger was finished, made up for that.

See how clear the water is?
Shortly after entering the water, we spotted an enormous sting ray. It was at least four to six feet long. It was way offshore but we could clearly see it's dark shadow "flying" underwater. It was a magnificent sight.
The children all want to go back for another visit. It was the most fun we've had in some time. It was definitely a "thumbs up," day.
